Original Dublin Painter is a Dublin painting and decorating company run by Alex, who has been
painting houses around the city for more than 20 years. Most of our work is painting and
decorating people's homes, and we take on commercial contracts too.
For homes, the bulk of it is interior painting
(walls, ceilings, skirting, doors and stairs),
exterior painting
of render, fascias, soffits and gates, and
kitchen cabinet spraying.
If you want the whole place done, our house painting
service handles inside and out in one booking. As
residential decorators
we also hang wallpaper, and we fill and make good cracks and holes before anything gets painted.
As painting contractors for businesses, we paint offices, shops, showrooms and the communal areas of apartment blocks.
Commercial jobs
can run in the evenings, at weekends or in phases so you can keep trading.

Absolutely Fabulous painters. Alex was brilliant to deal with from start to finish. He called out, quoted a great price. The lads showed up on time and finished my entire 3 bedroom house, all walls, ceilings and white work including the radiators in 2 days and were amazing and clean workers. Finish was perfect. What's the difference between a painter and a decorator?
A painter puts the paint on: walls, ceilings, woodwork, doors and exteriors. A decorator covers the wider finish of a room, including filling and plaster repairs, wallpaper hanging and the final detailing. In practice most Dublin homes need both, and we do both. One team, one quote.
How much does it cost to paint a house in Dublin?
As a rough guide, painting a full house inside and out runs about €1,800–€3,200 for a 2-bed terraced, €2,500–€4,500 for a 3-bed semi-detached and €3,500–€6,500 for a 4-bed detached.
